Nancy and Clemens S. ("Bud") Moss (left). Nancy and Bud are both graduates of IU, and Nancy was for eighteen years our Departmental Administrative Assistant, retiring in 2001. (See Newsletters, Summer 2001.) In honor of their fathers James M. Fields (third from left), and Anthony J. Moss (right), the former of whom attended IU and performed with the Singing Hoosiers with Hoagy Carmichael, Nancy and Bud in 1998 established the James F. Fields and Anthony J. Moss Fellowship. Once the fellowship is active, it will support a graduate student in Philosophy concentrating in either ethics or history of philosophy.
Peg and Myles Brand. In their name the Myles and Peg Brand Graduate Fellowship in Philosophy has been established, a gift of the University and friends. The fellowship was first awarded in September, 2003. (See Newsletter, Summer 2003.)
